Recent Work...
Currently we are undertaking work on a variety of commercial sites including a multi storey building refit in Boulcott Street Wellington, The Vogel Integrated Campus in Aitken Street and the Porirua Medical Centre. Recently we have completed the Teaching and Research Building at Victoria University, a series of buildings at Rimutaka Prison, and Wellington Hospital drainage. Other high profile jobs we have undertaken include Price Waterhouse Cooper's Building and Te Hopai Rest Home, ESR Wallaceville and The Avalon Fire Station, The Dowse Art Gallery, Onslow College, ASB Building Fit Out, Oncology and A&E at Wellington Hospital, a multitude of cell blocks and other buildings at Rimutaka Prison and the Maritime Museum. In addition we have a domestic arm to our company which undertakes a wide variety of plumbing and gasfitting work from bathroom and kitchen installations to tap washer replacement, the installation of gas heating and water heating, solar installations, heat pumps and gas servicing. "Training Apprentices is something we are good at.."
Hutt Gas and Plumbing Systems has a long and proud history of training apprentices and taking them through to Registered/Licensed status. In addition we also encourage them to go on and become Craftsman/Certifiers. Trainees have ample opportunity to learn the full breadth of the trade through our company. Some of our staff have returned to the company after doing their OE and are now training apprentices of their own.
